EMTA Member authorities met in Prague last April, at the invitation of ROPID, the public transport authority of the Prague Metropolitan area.

They discussed the issues of common interest (project of European Regulation in the first place) and discovered public transport systems in the Czech Capital city. Two new members joined EMTA :

– YTV (Helsinki Metropolitan Area Council),

– Association of Italian Cities for Sustainable Mobility and Transport

Consorcio de Transportes de Madrid, represented by Mr. Luis Peral, Vice Minister of Public Works of the Comunidad de Madrid, was elected President of EMTA in replacement of Syndicat des Transports d’Ile-de-France (STIF, Paris).

Mr. Georges Dobias, former Vice-President of STIF, was elected Honorary President of EMTA.
