EMTA vice president Laurent Probst shared solutions for zero-emission public transport at the Autonomy 2022 trade show

In a keynote, Laurent Probst depicted the exceptional role of public transport authorities (PTAs) in kick-starting the required vehicle decarbonisation at scale. Based on the successes already achieved by PTAs throughout Europe, he outlined the issues that remain and hamper bus decarbonisation efforts. He pointed out the potential solutions to bridge technological and industrial issues. He called for actions from ministries, the EU and the transport sector at large.
EMTA’s 2021 report "Towards Zero Emission Public Transport” provided the evidence for it, backed by the 30 members of EMTA.
Laurent Probst is since 2016 the CEO of Ile-de-France Mobilités, the transport authority for the Paris region. He was re-elected vice-president of EMTA in November 2021.
